NOTLEY RD TOWNHOMES—HELP US, things are MOVING FAST

From MoCO Planning Staff: timing for the HEARING on NOTLEY RD TOWNHOMES is moving quickly with the Planning Board Hearing on 10/23/25 & Hearing Examiner on 11/6.


To date, we have raised: $13,452 from 149 families.


We estimate it will cost approximately $23,000 to take us through the hearing process. This includes attorney time, expert consultations, and expert witnesses.


The examiner hearing is conducted as a trial, and each side puts on witnesses and experts to testify and be cross-examined. We must put on an top-notch rebuttal to have an impact on this re-zoning request.


TODAY we ASK 2 THINGS FROM YOU:


1. Please donate to our fund to get us through to the hearing —

If you think this re-zoning won’t impact you because you don’t live on Notley…consider if this passes, townhouses maybe coming to your 2 lane street, in this case—350+ more cars driving on all our roads/no parking at our small public retail/banks/post office, increased school population & the loss of our beautiful country feel (see donation process/info below) If you have already donated, please consider an additional contribution…


2. VOLUNTEER by Emailing: info@nonotleytownhomes.com


Currently, we need help with:


Producing yard signs, info cards & tee shirts (to show unity at public hearings—need help managing this project), and will need help with distribution —


Help with working with Media/PR/Journalism/social media—contacting/spreading the work


Neighbors with experience in Urban Planning


Researching similar zoning cases in process or previously in the re-zoning process


Environmental Activism contacting potential allies —Eyes of Paint Branch & other environmental groups

In the coming weeks, we will ask you to send more messages to key people in the decision-making process—after our first round of emails, the Planning Staff commented that it’s been a long time since they have seen such advocacy—they underestimate COLESVILLE!
