4/20/26 Candidate Forum - Home Run!

More than 50 people turned out to the Montgomery County Executive Primary Candidate Forum on April 20, 2026, wearing yellow “No Notley Townhouses” shirts!

We had a major effect. We held signs that said:

· 130 Notley Rd Townhouses - Don’t Fit with Community.”

· New Townhouses ≠ Affordable

· Floating Zones = Forced on Communities

· Notley Rd Proposed Townhouses = 111 new townhouses neighbors can’t afford

· We need affordable housing. Notley Rd Townhouses = ONLY 19 Affordable units!

· We love housing. When Built with Community

· More affordable housing = good. Huge developer profit = bad

Council woman Kristin Mink’s campaign manager could be seen in the back taking note of our signs and t-shirts. Council men Evan Glass and Will Jawdano made eye contact with many in the crowd in shirts.

We were mysterious. And we made them curious about what this Notley Rd Townhouses thing is about. The rumbles behind the scenes will start now. So when the rezoning council vote goes before the council in June/July,

and we ALL TURN OUT IN YELLOW T-SHIRTS, THEY WILL REMEMBER this turnout. Thanks to all who showed up!
